Join the GT brotherhood, you'll be glad you did. The only thing that is cool on an LX is the taillights, which are interchangeable. Just my 2 cents.

A 4 cylinder with a GT package (By far the ugliest STOCK body kit ever on ANY car), and 20 inch pimp wheels! YES PLEASE.... Make it a GT so us guys with LX's look better

What the hell, everyone is changing thier LX's to GT's. I just turned my GT into an LX. The LX has so much more a cleaner, simpler look. I'm keeping the GT wing unti I get a fiberglass hatch and speed glass rear window, then I will probally get the alumimum drag wing. I think the GT just makes the car look bulky.

My thoughts exactly. It makes the car look way too bulky and cluttered. I don't like GTs at all.

I think it is a car by car thing. I prefer GT's (esp verts. ) but have seen some LX's and notches. And I have seen some GT's which made me want to vomit into my mouth a little.

Any of the foxes can be made to look sweet - just personal preference on what it takes to get there (this is to Jstang, who is unsure).

Good luck.

i have an lx and at first impression i wanted to change over to gt (gt sides with stalker front and cobra rear) but its just more money to spend on more weight and i agree with 90mustangGT, looks alot cleaner, plus (i dunno if im the only one here liek this) i LOVE the way lx's look with a saleen wing and a smaller cowl 1.5"-3" hood, but like project89 said, "to each his own"

They are white, but i have Stainless Steel on my GT and love the look, so i'm debating swapping to stainless on the LX

Hey about those inserts. What color for my black GT? White would contrast TOO much IMO. Dark grey or grey IMO. And stainless steel inserts are WAY too expenise. The regulars are much more affordable. BTW my stang was an LX and now I wish it was STILL LX. you'll like GT but you'll wish u were LX trust me. My next car will be LX notch, painted black 4 inch cowl and GIANT MTs on drag lites

Haha. Joe your whore your car a lot. I use to have 4 pics on my computer before it crashed. I used it as reference for the wheels, sonic blueness, and stalker look. After the crash I got another sonic blue LX using dual purge. Forget his name, but hes a stangnet guy of course. Hes my wallpaper

Post up a picture.

A friend of mine had white inserts on his black GT. Reason i think they didn't look too great was because you had it on the rear and the sides. It was just too much. On my car, i just have it on the rear and it's small. The entire rest of the car is completely black, so i think the contrast works for me.

If i had a black GT, i would do something like you were thinking. If i had pony wheels i'd go for a color than matched them. Something subtle.

It's unfortunate that the supposed "good" version of the 87-93 Mustang -- the GT -- actually got the bad/fugly pieces. The "aero" skirt GT lower body pieces? Fugly. No actual aerodynamic purpose at all, and make the car look bottom heavy. Any idiot can glue on some Xenon brand plastic bits like them, but the truth is that the stock LX looks cleaner and lighter. Sorry but true. (Also, don't the GT aero skirt pieces also weigh 50 or 100 lbs. more?) LX stainless tailpipes? Way cool. The GT front end? Let's see -- no grille/no air flow to radiator. Dumb. Louvered GT tail lights? Need I say anything? The shortage of LX tailights in the junkyards answers that question. Fog lights? Just annoy everyone coming towards you and by the way, when you see your way through all that fog how much are those replacement bulbs/lenses? The truth is that the LX looks leaner and therefore meaner. Oh and here's the kicker: If the LX version was even partly intended to fool the insurance companies into cheaper rates because it was not a GT, it worked. I have had two 5.0's listed on my policy for many years now, and get the lowest rate offered (even lower than my two Corvettes) since they are both listed as 1990 Ford Mustang LX's. Hahahahahahahahahahah...................

omg! only an LX has a beautiful asssend like that. And those tail pipes out the back.. and lets not forget the 4 eyed GT's which were pretty much LX's

BTW, that is a very beautiful car.
