I'm looking to get a CAI and new exhaust for my '00 Stang. My friend said that BBK is the best for intake and that I should that for the x-pipe and maybe Magnaflow for the exhaust.
As for the intake what's better...BBK or MAC? MAC is praised on partshopper.com
For the exhaust partshopper has the Magnaflow x-pipe and also Magnaflow exhaust. What would you guys recommend for someone who wants a nice deep throaty tone and good added power?

offroad H and flowmaster cat back if you what it deep, and throaty.

I'd go with a C&L intake. BBK's is absolutely HORRIBLE. I know from experiance. It cracked my MAF housing, the pipe was small, the pipe heated up, and the filter barely fit in the wheel well without beating the piss out of it to make it fit. It really sucked. I am now with C&L and I could NOT be happier. However, my induction will soon be changing to forced induction... :D

a magnaflow x with magnaflows is a nice mellow sound that can get decently loud at wot. If you want loud you need to go with a resonator like a race bullet or slp or even magnapacks. i personally love the sound of a magnaflowx/catback different than everyother chambered muffler hpipe combo 90% of the guys are running. I used to have a prochamber with 2 chamber flow masters and I think that is one of the best sounding exhausts you could ever have though

if you want total bad ass sound. This is the setup I have waiting to be installed=
Mac Ceramac LT's, Dr. Gas Off road X, Magnapac Catback. this should make your mom cry... also I have a BBK off road X and flowmaster American Thunder Catback on there now. This setup also sounds really great! sell it to you on the cheap when it's off the car in a week $300.00 with less than 500 miles on the system! I also have the BBK CAI. I don't really like it as much as the new Mac setup. I much rather like the look of polished stainless than chrome.
