Mac Prochamber vs. X-pipe?

I just bought an '04 GT and am getting ready to start with the usual mods, but I'm new to late model Stangs, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between an X-pipe and the MAC prochambers since they both seem to merge in the same fashion? Also, in addition to that if anyone has any opinions on the following exhaust setup, please share:

FR Shorty ceramic headers
MAC Prochamber
Borla Cat-back

Prochamber is significantly quieter than the X. It does have a nice deep sound, but I would take the howl of an X pipe over it any day.
