One of my friends has a 98GT and he recently just got his Magnaflow X-pipe w/CATS and JBA Ceramic Headers part# 1625 JS. My question is will there be a fitment problem with the 2 and does anyone out there have these same mods on their 98GT.Second question will it be easier to install the headers with the xpipe already installed or should I have the headers installed first.

Off topic but why would you buy all 3 Steeda G-Track Setups? The stage 3 has everything that the stage 1 and 2 have plus more.

Just curious but how are you dynoing 332 rwhp with a 01 cobra with only Complete WMS HighVelocity Intake System, JBA Headers, Bassani Xpipe, Magnaflow Catback, Steeda Underdrive Pullies

there should be no fitment problem at all but if you are unsure just call up JBA and ask them.

and i'd install the headers first, then the magnaflow x.

If you go into the Steeda website you will see under suspension that the IRS G-TRAC is broken up into 3 stages so you can get them one at a time if you can't afford all 3 at the same time.

I've had a lot of people doughting my horsepower numbers, but if you go into the SVT forum I have my dynosheet posted. Also the WMS kit included a 95mm MAF incase you didn't know that.One more thing my friend 98LaserGT can confirm those numbers

Are those JBA Shortie headers? How much HP did you get from the headers?

Yes they are shorties.JBA advertises a 15-20Hp & 26ft lbs of torque gain. It all depends in what other mods you have done to the car.

My friend with a 01 cobra with a magnaflow cat-back, off-road x-pipe (not sure what brand) ported maf meter, cold air intake, steeda pulleys and a dynotune by jerry at fordchip is only seeing 292rwhp. Only difference is he doesn't have headers.

The Dyno sheet I have posted on this thread doesn't Lie. Your friend should get a 95mm MAF from WMS.

If you call Ampperformance.com you can get ceramic coated headers for about $570, that is the cheapest I have ever seen the ceramic coated headers. those are 2v claims

9-10 rwhp is a litlle more realistic for the JBA shorties on a 2v N/A. I've seen several dynos that all fall in that range. Never seen more than that.

Long Tube Headers are a complete waste of money on a 2valve car thats not blown. jba's are the only way or just keep the factory headers. Labor on long tubes is like $500 plus $400-$700 for the long tubes themselves. And get lets say 5 rwhp out of them.

Just my 2 cents

Also There 8 million people on this board that have long tubes with the same mods as me with equal or less hp and I'm in still on the stock headers.

Were these dynoes on 2V cars? NA, 2v cars? Can anyone post a picture of a dyno showing these 9-10 hp gains on 2v, NA cars? Were the gains up high (> 4000 rpm) or down low?
