i had pretty stout set up 306 gt40 heads stg2 ported cobra intake stg1 ported ond all the bolt ons never had a problem with the gm guys as long as it was motor to motor but then the new lsx camaros came out and yes i hate to say it i saw tail lights so i added a 150 dry shot and showed my own tail lights ha ha but my 306 seemed to b going down hill so ive decided to upgrade and now im a step one ANY INPUT ON A 351 SWAP ON MY 95 GT WILL B MOST APPRECIATED i will be using trickflow twist wedge heads stge1 by foxlake but the rest is in the air does anyone know of a swap kit to make this swap as easy as possible

solid motor mounts are a pita for the street but you have to have them to clear the stock hood.....if you get a Cobra R style hood you can use regular mounts. my hood is a "Cervinis" (I think that's how it is spelled) it looks great & is just tall enough to clear the TF351R intake.
as far as the headers go, I just took my BBK 351swap shorty's off of mine to install my LT's. I will be putting them up for sale soon, PM me if you are interested in them.
IMO, you might as well stroke it to 393 while your at it! :nice:

yes will go with efi my main concern is all the swap parts i will need i already have a built t5 and the heads i just dont know what brackets i will need or will the 302 brackets work i would like to keep the ac,pwr steering i would love to stroke the 351 ,but for my goals i thnk the351 is prime and yes it will b a roller block

I believe all of the accessories from your 5.0 will bolt onto the 351... hopefully someone else will verify it but I'm sure they will. as far as the EFI, I am running the stock 5.0 engine harness & a 94 Cobra computer. you will need to do away with the EGR, as the 351swap headers are not setup to run EGR. your T-5 will bolt right up. 302&351w are both SBF's so most everything is a direct swap I beleive, with the exceptions being the lower intake, fuel rail & distributor. the 5.0 fuel rail will work, it just needs to be widened a little, I'm sure you can do a search on here & find out pretty much everything else you need to know. It's not that big of a swap & it is obviously a ton easier than converting a sixxer car to a v8. one thing I am not sure of is the balance on the 351, not sure if it is 28 or 50oz. you'll want to check intop that before throwing your 5.0 flywheel & harmonic balancer on there.
on another note. do yourself a favor & don't put 5.8 emblems on it....I am taking mine off because I am always getting asked "you really got a 5.8 in there?" or " I didn't know they put the 5.8 in those cars!" I am debadging it this weekend! keep em' guessing! didn't really make sense to have them on mine anyway as it is actually a 6.4L:flag: just my .02.

accessories from the 5.0 will work. Use the sn95 5.0 brackets you already have unless you feel like modifying the radiator support for clearance with any other bracket. You don't have to delete the EGR just use one from a pre 93 5.0 motor that doesnt have an exhaust tube connected. When i first installed my 383 i plugged in an older egr and vacuum line to make the check engine light go off.

Heres something to think of now.....Change your intake setup to the FOX style. all you really need is a throttle cable from any 5.0 car. (i got mine from a lincoln mark vii)

Also on the twisted wedge heads...how much do those flow? Also if you want to use a twisted wedge head the pistons will need twisted valve reliefs. LOL SOOOOO now that you have the bottom end apart and youre already buying pistons.....Why not a crank and some rods?

the main differences are the oil pan, distributor, intake and headers.

another thing on the heads ... a 351 has 1/2" bolts holding the heads down while the 302 uses 7/16" bolts, so if you have 302 heads, you may have to have them machined to make the bolt holes larger.

and the fuel rails for the 302 don't really fit on a 351 because the 351 is an inch wider and the hoses the go between the rails are not long enough to stretch. but people have done a mod to make it fit. the guy who installed my engine worked that out for me so i don't know what he ended up doing.

this swap has been done many times. use the search function, it will help you find alot of what you are looking for.

have you found the 351 you are going to install yet? if you get a late model roller block, it will probably already have the dizzy and fuel rails. also if you get a roller block, then you won't need the link bar lifters which are really expensive.

good luck, and please use periods to delimit your sentences ... that makes it alot easier for other people to read your posts.
