hello,

my dad has an 88 GT that he just rebuilt the engine with SVO heads, B cam, and Cobra upper and lower intake. he still has the speed density. how can he switch to mas air? is there a cheap way to do it, or does he have to buy one of the $500+ kits? also, does he need a chip to correct for the a/f ratio or can that be done with a fuel pressure regulator. and what size injectors will he need?

thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I would get one of these for $12 here.

And buy a couple of these for $0.35 a peice from here.

And find a computer on ebay or something and wire it up yourself.

Edit: I have an A9L if anyone needs one PM me.

As for the injectors, the 19's should be enough for what he is running right now, although I would recommend upgrading the fuel pump if he has not done so yet.

MASS air conversion instructions from http://www.stangnet.com/tech/maf/massairconversion.html FREE
A9L (5 Speed) computer from junkyard $100-$150
A9P (Auto or in a pinch, 5 Speed) computer from junkyard $100-$150
70MM MAF from 94-95 Mustang GT - $40-$70
MASS Air wiring harness kit $30-$85 ( use kit in post above)

The whole thing is probably less than $300 using junkyard parts.

A9L computers are 5 speed only(?)
A9P computers are automatic , but will work with a 5 speed.
