Resolved Medussa's hair is in Mustang.

Nicky, I am away right now so i can’t confirm this right now by looking at my car but I think I recall seeing it if you drop the glove box and look up to the right. I may be wrong but for some reason I think I remember seeing it there in my 91’ so drop your glove box and give it a quick Look with a flashlight. Could be easy access. Sorry in advance if I’m wrong but can’t hurt to look, takes 5 min and no tools. I know mine was changed so maybe afterwards it wasn’t pushed back where it was suppose to be but maybe not. Good luck.

Nuts. Dropped glove box couldn't see it, I had insulation and black plastic piece in the way.
I removed the front speaker and got better access. It was still a mother Fing bear to get to.
It was attached with a white plastic push clip that was another mfer to remove ,and the the best Part was getting the relay itself off of the connecter.
I didn't want to break the 31 year old plastic clip, and getting to it was as much fun as a hot poker in your ass.
Just as I was about to call it quits ( wife came in garage and offer to take me to work or give me her car till my days off)(yes a saint she is) I got that beech off. Its late and I'm going to have a cup of joe, relax in the lazy boy and call it a night.
Thank you all, ill report back tomorrow , hopefully with great news. God willing.

I will leave these here for no other reason than for you to ponder. These are the things can cause intermittent stalling with no codes. I include the VSS but I've never heard of that causing a shut down when in the throttle; Only at idle.

That leaves:

TFI - You been down that road
PiP - Dunno if you been there yet
MAF - Usually throws a code but no always
Fuel Pump relay and your beloved EEC relay.

Anywho... Good luck and hope your new relay solves it for you.

I hate it when the gremlins fight. O_o

Thanks:: I've done new tfi,new distributor (new pip)fuel pump relay,ECU power relay,I'll get a maf just to cover all the bases

Just a spitball's chance in hell, but a LONG time ago - like back in the early 90s - I had a car shut down on me randomly. If memory serves, it was only when it was warm. It turned out to be a batch of bad spark plugs. I remember chasing my tail and just changing them while firing the parts cannon, but it did the trick for whatever reason. I think they were even kinda new. The one thing I do remember is that they were Champions - I've never used Champions since. Like I said, probably not relevant in your case, just thought I'd mention it.

It weird that when it wouldn't start I put a tfi on and it fired right up, and when I got a motorcraft TfI it was no good out the box and another motorcraft TfI and that wouldn't stay running ,the Master pro. tfi runs but she still shuts off .

That happened to me in my II, so there was no TFI to mess with. It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure I swapped the Duraspark module out at one point and it started right up only to die on me again. Like I said, it's just a thought that I thought might be worth mentioning. When my 87 pulled this crap I ended up just buying and installing a new distributor. It's not really been on the road since so I can't speak for long term, but it cured the issue I was having with it at that time.

May have been covered. Have you check the ECU ground behind the battery? There is a connector that can corrode and/or the connection to the inner fender via the self tapping screw can be suspect as well.

Got home late. I got relay plugged in and left it hanging there for now( getting that awful white plastic plugged back in will be fun).
She started right up and idled till warmed up and fan cycled twice. Too dam tired to put it all back tonight. After work tomorrow ill put some mileage on her and report back, maybe even take pics of the relay location.

Oh :poo:

After removeing all that stuff I see my glove box was installed on 10/10/92, and in the last pic you can just see the writing on the new relay(upper right)
She started right up but on the drive up the block she did a stumble on second gear. I checked the ECU going by battery it looks fine but I didn't remove the battery. So I had a known good maf meter so I swapped it out. Drove up the road and no stubles, but back in the garage she idled and had a hiccup, rpm was 800 dipped to 600 and back up to 800.
