Meguiars in 3 Step , this stuff is awesome

If you do the clay bar, you really don't have to do step 1 or 2. You can but I think 1 would be a waste of time and I wouldn't do 2 unless the car was in bad shape. ALWAYS use a good PURE carnuba wax if your not going to use the step system.

you "rub" the clay along the paint and it really picks up a lot of crap from your car...you may be surprized...especially with out 10 year old factory paint jobs(those who havnt been repainted) wash the car real nice, (id use dish soap cuz the clay bar is just gonna take the wax and what not off the car anyway) and follow the directions that come with the bar...it may SCARE you how much dirt that thing pulls off with it...i washed my car real well before i used it...and by the time i was done with the hood and fenders, my little blue clay bar was BLACK with dirt....

....just did it on my girlfriend's 2000 Focus and it wasnt so bad.....

this is true...the clay bar sorta serves the same purpose as the paint cleaner...though i think the clay bar does a slightly better job...it wont hurt it to clay bar, then do the 3 steps....i wouldnt do all 3 every time either....#3 is good for most of the time...but id say every once and awhile, if you have a day that your doing NOTHING, and cant think of anything better to do with your time, head out to the driveway/garage and hit her with all 3 steps....
