Mod questions....Help the Girl out! :D

Some of what I am going to post has been mentioned already. But here is my $.02.........

Gears- I would go with 4.10's As you know, your car will not gain any HP, but it will drastically improve the SOTP (for Stacy......Seat Of The Pants ;) ) meter.

X-Pipe - I've heard nothing but good things about the Dr. Gas. Only downfall is you have to weld it together as mentioned.

UD Pullies- I'd go with Steeda.

Springs- I had Eibachs (Pro Kit) on my GT and it looked good, IMO. Ride was a little harsher than stock, but not too bad. Install wasn't hard at all. Make sure to get an alignment after the springs settle.

CAI- Like everyone else is saying....they are a waste of money. Not worth it on a GT.

Good luck with everything. :nice:

Hey, I would get a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter. They really make shifting fun and easy. As far as springs Steeda and Eibach are AROUND the same price and are identical. So whatever you find a deal on go for it! If you do opt for a gear change I would get some 3.73's, that will give you some extra "oomph" in each gear without being a pain to drive in weather :)

Good luck, it looks like your're off to a great start!

Sorry for this but, what is a Plenum, I think I know but I just want to be sure. Also what is the price for one.

Thanks!

The part to the right of the Throttle Body is the Plenum. Its the part closest to the your right hand side of the picture.

Are changing gears known for making our cars a pain to drive in weather conditions? Also what will a Tri-Ax shifter do? Improve speed, gain...?

Thanks!

With the gears you just have to be a little more careful during wet conditions. I didn't even try to take the stang out in the snow so I can't comment on that. You will see a decrease in your gas mileage, but not by too much.I think an aftermarket shifter will make shifting smoother, easier, all around letting you shift faster. I don't drive a stick though, so I'm just guessing.

I have heard alot about Dr. Gas, but unsure where I would get it welded around my area. Plus the cost too.

By the time I get done taking all of your guys advise on here..........I'm gonna be BROKE! :rlaugh: But its allll worth it!

Thanks Again guys, and Stacey!!!

when it comes to x pipes, you have 3 choices:
dr gas,
dr gas,
and dr gas. nothing else compares IMO. at 4000rpms the engine comes alive with a crazy sound, it sounds like a UFO or something.
also, i am VERY pleased with my c&l combo. get it

im sorry to all that believe CAI is a worthless mod... but it is my opinion that its definatly not... while a K&N filter helps over the stock for full powerband HP... the CAI really helped me in high rpm(4000-6000).... the engine pulls a lot harder than it did with a k&n and thats the only mod ive done since... its not worthless

Please do not post bad information. If you do a search and read all of the data on CAI's you will see why we say they arent worth more than 50 bucks, if that.

I'm sure my FIPK helped a little, but I wonder if I would've gotten the same results with just the K & N filter. I don't think it was worth the $200 I spent on it.
