Been a minute since an update. My side hustle kicked in so not much free time. I did get the full Performance distributors kit for the Fox. Was getting a miss at higher rpms, and with the OG 34 yr old dizz figured it was time for an upgrade.

I would rebuild or have rebuilt, your OEM distributor and put it on the shelf.

I also wish I had a dollar for every aftermarket distributor nightmare story I've heard about EFI Windsors.

Winter "upgrade" time. Mocking up the Focus fans, fit pretty well just need a little trimming on some plastic. Going back NA, the turbo setup has just been a giant PITA for me,over it. Already have BBK longtubes,a Mac Prochamber I've had fof years, and an Anderson power pipe. Need a cat-back and some injectors and it'll be ready next season

If you want another Power adder without all the fuss just put a s trim on it . Pulley it to make 12-13 psi. Make sure you’re alignment is good and enjoy it

If anything I'd put a small nitrous kit on . The 331 ran really well NA. I really just wanna drive the car all over next year without any fanfare.

You’d be able to do it with the blower but I get it for sure

Got the longtubes on today. Pretty simple install. Passenger side dropped right down through the top no problem. I loosened steering rack and pushed it forward then removed steering shaft. I slipped it in from the bottom and my girl slid the flange over the guide studs I pre-installed. Whole process was less than an hour.

Well, discovered the headers were barely contacting the steel bellhousing. Had to get out the special "clearancing" tools...

On a side note: Some of the best car advice I've seen from a Fox "Toober" in recent memory:

If you want ceramic coated headers, buy them uncoated, install them, beat the out of them until they fit perfect and [then] have them coated.

I mean, that's usually one of those things you just don't learn until you've done it but pricewise, the out-of-the-box solution looks attractive.
