There's a NIB set of MonroeMatic struts for sale on the local C-list for $50. I know they're not on par with the aftermarket stuff out there from KYB, Tokico, etc, but they're also 1/3 to 1/4 the price of those (and I wouldn't have shipping on top of that).

Anybody know if these are any good at all? I need to do struts and shocks this winter, and really like the price. Just don't want to be disappointed with the performance.

Car is used as a "spirited" daily driver in the summer, stored in winters. Running Eibach pro kit springs, stock upper and lower a arms, MM C/C kit.

KYB's GR2's are reasonably priced at 60ea for strut and 43ea for the shocks for a comparison. I'm happy with my KYB AGX's but they cost 123ea and 90ea respectively and i am a "spirited" daily driver. I have used Monroe before on my 87 GT and was relatively happy with them.
