Question: Is the stock air box a big restriction if it has a K&N in it ? It has a huge filter and it sucks air from the fender through a good size hole. Is a fender mouth CAI going to produce more air or colder air ? I just hate that 90 degree turn right before the MAF on every fender mount CAI. Thanks.

Your right on the 90 degree bend possibly causing problems with some meters...been told the PRO-m bullet 75mm and 24's in particular car be very fussy. It's pretty well know the stock box and good filter will meet the needs of any 302-306 N/A setup. Only the AFM power pipe has been shown to help SOME..but if the required amount of air is being supplied by the stock box there really is no benefit of making more available if the engine does not need it.

Thanks. So the stock air box is fine for N/A but what about nitrous, gt40 heads and intake ? Will the stock box flow decent or would the fender set up be better.

Basically, the CAI kits are only for show. Use the stock setup.
