:p Today, I went off again and bought myself some:

24 lb injectors
Pro M 75 mm Bullet Mass Air Meter
65 mm Throttle Body
AN E-CAM OF FURY!!!
Air conditioner delete kit

I was talking to John from Blue Oval Industries, and at first, I was going to retain my 19 lb injectors, but he mentioned that moving up to bigger injectors wasn't going to kill anything, but pushing too much air into my engine without the proper fuel would be severely bad. I knew this already, but was going to 24 lb injectors too much? Any opinions?

The throttle body, well, it's a professional products 65 mm. I had heard some bad stories on these parts, but I've also heard some good reviews, so I'm gonna check it out. If it causes me problems, I'll sell it, and get something better.

Basically I'm trying to cover all angles right now, grabbing onto every little thing I can, and upon installing each of them I'm sure I'll find more things I'll require along the way. My mod list is growing significantly every day, I'm starting to get worried about the installation time for all this stuff....:p

haha, gotcha...but do you think it'll hurt anything? I'm not sure how that works, the Pro-M is calibrated for 24 lb injectors, so I can't really see a problem....will the stock computer be okay with this?

I really doubt it man. I'm pretty sure you're going to tune everything, so I'm sure you won't be running dry. Also, what hp, you looking at? I was told by the guy at lasotaracing, that if and when I upgrade to a bigger maf, there's nothing better than the 90mm lightning one.

I think you did good by moving up to the 24's.

I won't go into a lot of details as why I think most peeps try to push 19's too far but think about it this way.

Ford put 24's on the Cobra for a reason.

Now ask yourself how many mods will it take to match the air flow on your GT combo to the approximate air flow of the Cobra.

btw, I gotta agree with John, too much air with too little fuel........................

Not a good thing.

Thanks Grady! :nice:

I definitely won't get the airflow through my ported GT intake that I would with a cobra intake. Is there any way to match it without resorting to a power adder?

Don't forget you have a cam that will .....
shall we say try to draw more air through that ported stocker, lol.

I think I've seen Tom Moss say he can match or get pretty close to the Corba.

btw, I ment to give you a site where you can use a nifty little program to help you figure inj size, track performance and lots of other useful stuff.

Sweet! Thanks again mang!

The intake is actually pretty strangely ported, maybe Tmoss might be able to tell us if this is good or not.

I might be wrong on the runner numbers, but I think it's the 1 & 4, and 5 & 8 runners, they've been siamesed, the portion seperating them has been removed.

tmoss expressed interest into the porting job, as to it's quality. I've yet to install it, due to misplacement of myself...but when I get home, I'd like to take some closer pics before I install it, and post them for you guys to examine. Who knows, it might be a great flow idea...guess we'll see soon enough!

Just get Tom to help you as I don't claim to be a guru like him but I've ported several sets of heads and an intake or two so I've learned enough to know Tom can help you. I've looked at enough info about his work to tell me that he most likely will do some work for me in the future as I just don't have the intrest to get into that any more.

I'll be watching to see how things turn out for you with your combo :nice:

Curios why an e cam????

It's a good question, wish i had a good answer for you...

I felt it was my safest choice. I'm not that smart when it comes to all the specs on the different cams...what I did know, from reading on here, is that it's "more" aggressive than stock, but not a nasty cam, used for moderate amounts of modification without having your car sounding like it's about to stall. PERHAPS I'm wrong, I very well could be....I was also looking at the B303 cam because I heard it wasn't too far off what the E303 was for idle smoothness.

Am I out in left field right now??

Well the e/b are some what the same as far as idle and what not. But they both really don't do well with our puters. It's really a hit or miss type cams there either going to idle and work just fine or they are going to surge and die and need a chip or tuner to work. Besides our stock cam is not that bad when working with stock heads, your really not going to reap the "full" benifits of an aftermarket cam with out swaping heads imo. Are you swaping heads?

If someone can give me a good deal on some afr's or GT40's, I'll swap. If not, I'll port mine until I get my other debts paid off, then I'll buy some aftermarkets.

Does anyone have any heads to sell me?

#1 is only next to #5 and #5 is next to #1 and #2, so you hace the runners wrong I think. Post up a pic when you get it. I did an excel spreadsheet a while back on how much overlap (both intake bvavles open at the same time) there were between runners when looking at the potential for siamesing runners.

Thanks alot tmoss, appreciate the info...let me try to find a pic of the runners here...if I was back home, I could just snap some pictures immediately, but over here, I have to search for the ebay auction to get old pics...

I don't see a major increase in horsepower happening, but it should allow for more air to flow through...

This is the shot of one side...it's identical on the other, as shown by the gaskets in the second pic.

There's a wack of places where you can find them. However, after talking to Downs Ford about the Pro M business going belly under, I cancelled it because I don't want to end up with a product with no company to back it up. I'm currently searching for a C&L meter...have that by the end of the day.
