Ok, my dad has a stock '66 convertible with an inline six, and this car is MINT, but it doesn't turn heads when he takes it to a car show, people want to see v8's.
Well, he doesn't want to pull the i6, seeing as how the car is currently original, numbers matching etc.
But, I heard that you can get a different cam, an intake that takes three single barrel carbs, and a different exhaust manifold (that splits the exhaust, three cylinders down one pipe, three down the other). Anyhow, apparently with those changes, the engine would be pushing around 235hp.
Well, seeing as how these changes could easily be undone, and the car wouldn't be driven hard anyhow, we were thinking this would be a unique way to get the car some attention. And he'd be able to shock the v8 members of the car club when his "wimpy" i6 has more power than the stock v8s
Anyhow, having said all this, my question is, who makes these parts, and where can we get them?
