Don't you hate it when you are about to post something and you get side tracked reading another post, and then you forget what you where going to post...
Anyways, Ok...
If you install an MSD 6A that comes w/o the rev limiter, does your stock revlimiter not work anymore. Do you have to have the 6AL to keep the revlimiter. Because that thing has saved my life a lot =) i.e. out at the track and go to heat up the tires a little and the track is slicker than you think =)

If you add a 6A it will not get rid of your rev limiter. And actually I think that when we hit our rev limiter it cuts out gas. Which really messes our cars up. I think that the 6AL has a true rev limiter. But I am not exactly sure.

The 6AL delivers everything the 6A does with the addition of a built-in Soft Touch Rev Control. This feature allows you to set an RPM limit to protect the engine from over-rev damage caused by driveline failure or missed shifts. Other MSD RPM Controls can be connected to the 6AL such as a Three Step Module Selector or RPM Activated Switch.

Even the MSD 6AL does not over ride your stock rev limiter. If you have a stock rev limiter of 6250 and you install a 7000 rev limiter chip in your MSD 6AL, your stock rev limiter will still kick in. In order to bypass the stock rev limiter, you need to install a lower RPM chip like a 6200 MSD chip in and then your MSD 6AL will limit your revs.
