I have a 98 GT and stock rear-end, 4.10's, 5 spd, stock engine not much power!
will i have to worry about breaking something(like rear-end) at the track w/ these tires?
somebody told me they have a stiffer sidewall rather than the ET streets?????? and wont give in as easily? they will be mounted on 15x8 weld prostars!thanx in advance

track-bite? sorry for teh newb ?

It's made by a company called VHT.

It's a sticky liquid substance that some people spray on the staging lanes in front of the their car when they do burnouts. They heat their tires up really hot and then roll forward to the track-bite, turn the tires over just enough to slide most of the tread through the stuff to get it on as much of the tire as possible (without slinging it off) and then roll up to the line.. the stuff is STICKY!

I watched an '01 GT with MT ET Streets use it and he broke an axle :rlaugh: :rlaugh:

i have the same setup you bought. i am running the 275/50/15 MT DR's. they hook up REALLY well!! driving them on the street is soooooo much fun compared to my 295's. with the 295's my car tries to spin all the way thru 2nd and sometimes in 3rd when it gets into boost. with the MT's i can barely spin 1st. i'm not sure but i think you will need some stronger axles with your tires. i upgraded to a auburn pro diff and moser 31 spline axles with c clip elims. if you do snap an axle let me know. i have two of them just laying in the garage

They do hook real well, but driving them on the street will absolutely CHEW them up! Mine are COVERED in worn rubber - nothing a good burn wouldn't fix...but still, wears majorly fast...just something to consider :nice:

I run mine at 16psi, hook pretty well (When I first got them I was bogging because I couldn't keep the revs up and they is STICKY! :p). Also I would reccomend, like previously mentioned by others, a nice long burnout.
