Multi-Layered Steel (MLS) header gaskets anyone ?

I need to get a new gasket for my Hedman Hedders 88400.

I did a 5.3 LS swap in my S10 and LS uses Multi-Layered Steel (MLS) header gaskets they seems to seal great and re-usable. Mr. Gasket makes type for SBF and cost only $18. They are Rectangular Ports, 1.12" x 1.48". My motor is Explorer 5.0 with stock 3 bar heads.

Anyone here use these ?

Nope. Use the orange (permatex?) gasket maker and be done.

yup copper RTV or O ring's

the surface for an MLS has to be too perfect for headers

I used the Percy's gaskets because of the great reviews. They leaked in several places. Copper rtv for me now.
