I don't really understand the whole "build" vs "progress" thread. Maybe when I have the motor in it and it runs, the powers that be can change it to a build thread. For now it can be called a "whatever" thread.
God knows they have the ability to put a ct on you when you say something stupid!
No,....If you keep on building the car via a whole bunch of separate specialized "whatever it is threads," the car will be done, and there'll be nothing left to build.
Look at it this way.......
If an author intended to write a book, but went to the publisher with several assorted "chapters", as opposed to one single manuscript.......He'd get one of two responses from the publisher.
1. We can make these into a bunch of short stories.
2. Turn around and put all of that crap back together into one, consolidated read, and we'll sell it as a .............book.
I don't care how you want to do it, you can document the build the car either way. Most guys prefer having to only watch and maintain one update on their "stangnet-facebook" thing instead of a dozen, spread out over a dozen separate threads.
The build/progress thing is simple.
If you are doing it, and it involves more than just bolting parts together.....I'm more inclined to label it "build".
If you are either bolting stuff together, or paying a shop to do what you can't or won't do (for whatever lame-o reason) It gets the "progress" title instead.
Either way,...you gotta care enough to ask for it. If you do all the damn work yourself, and could give a rat's ass what it's called,....then it'll stay a progress thread just the same.
You've got it down to a separate minitub, and a "all the rest" thing I think. When, and if you decide you want me to park all of that junk in the same garage,.....you just let me know, and I'll merge it all under one thread title.
