My first install!

stock heads stock cam.i think i dynoed with 183000miles i use syn oils in the motor trans and diff typhoon upper and lower 65mm tb bbk fender 93 cobra RR bkk shorties bbk Xpipe with cats flomasters

We took it down again today, and with a 73mm C&L, Jeff got 232 hp out of the beast.

(We didn't port anything... Because this was a test, more or less, we wanted to see what it would put out as if a customer were buying it and just throwing it on)

Mine needed alot of port, polish, and machining to get to work. I bet you could pick up some more power....:D

and all in all you gained 14RWHP (so something like 17 FWHP) which isnt too bad...

Hey- how was your intake port alignment with that mainfold?

I had to mill 60 tho of each side of my PP typhoon intake to get them close enought to grind to match.

Wondering if others are having the same problems with indexing this manifold.

My intake installed quite well. My major complaint was the fasteners that came with the kit. I broke three of them during my first install. You know it is a quality kit when the fasteners break before you reach the specified torque rating for installation. Also, the ports are horribly inconsistent. I evened them up with some ghetto port work for now. It was easy to see where Edelbrock spends the extra time and money... it is called CNC work.

because IF I scored Professional Products stuff I would of sold it and got accufab... :).. Hey vulcan how are you!!!!

Hi Misha, I agree accufab is the way to go:nice: I am ashamed to say I have been down at AFP way to much this winter:rolleyes: I just got done with Rays Plasma cutter this week and am now waiting on my new front end from Blue Oval:) Its not a skateboard yet, but its on its way:rlaugh: fresh engine is waiting for me to drop it in:D Nice job on making more power Jess:) But the heads are a waist of time:nono: What you need is a TURBO:p

Definately an Accufab on the way. Besides, the TB is hitting the hood, and with those motor mounts too, it sits a little higher.

You offering to help on the turbo? ;) Let me make some more friends first.....

Yeah I didn't use their faseners (bought some grade 8 studs at tacoma screw, makes it much easyier to index with studs) and I knodiced the port incosistancy as well and fixed it with port work.

come to think of it i spent like 2 hours inside my upper intake manifold deburring the runners and chamber did no porting though just got rid of the large peices of metal that were sticking up

Nice pics:D That third pic says it all, Its good to see that you use eye protection when doing your nails:p Makes a person wonder..... why didnt we ever see the free stuff Misha was scoring:shrug:
Misha was getting free stuff? Some times you gotta work it. Why do most people work at speed shops? Parts for their own cars.
Nice intake Jess. I've got the same one but I painted it crinkle black.
