Whatcha think? It was quite the extensive project and we were very happy with results. I'm open to all sorts of criticism, and I'd love suggestions!

That's pretty cool. The only thing I don't like is that it looks really glossy...
Nice work though :)

Well, the picture looks a lot glossier than it actually is. The black part of the dash is a dye, not a paint, it is very dull and looks like it came direct from the factory that way. The red stuff is a little shiny, but nowhere near as shiny as the picture portrays!
:nice:

Highly impressed... I dont think it is too shiny... It is about as shiny as my 97 gt convertible with some armor all... How did u paint the pieces??? Or dyed??? It looks good now... Wait a couple months and see if you have any cracks... Most people that paint dashes of cars usually dont take out the dash... They remove the windshield and jus tape off... But you did a great job I hope it holds good for you!

Taping it off is for pansies! hah j/k. We dyed the dash, and painted the other peices using color matched spray paint.

Great job man :nice:

It's nice to see someone try and do something to set their pony out from the others. You get an A for effort becuase I'm sure you guys put alot in. I agree with what was stated before about cracking. I know the Dash won't but the trim would be my concern. Did you use primer and a clear coat to seal it?

2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint. The guy at napa mixed in some special hardener/clearcoat thing. He specifically told me to NOT clearcoat it because it would actually weaken the clear coat on the paint.

If the peices do chip, big deal, i just pop em out and do a quick touch-up spray. It's all easily fixable.
