I am still trying to figure out if i want to run ladder bars or LCA & UCA. Which ever way i go completely redone suspension rear end. AJ is right i am going to be running adjustable coil over shocks in the back. i am also going with a ford 9" 35-spline for the rear

I was going to ask where you where going to mount the shocks at.

Stock shocks and springs get replaced with Rear Coilovers.

PS: We used cutoff wheels for his.... I will be using a Plasma Cutter on mine

Although a plasma cutter would sound like a much better way to do it, I would be worried about cutting into other important areas without really knowing it. I'm not a pro fabricator (I've done a little bit), nor have I tubbed a car before, but my buddy is doing his notch right now and he blew right through a section of his torque box using a torch on the floorpan. I know a plasma cutter will be more forgiving than a torch, just be really careful! Looks good btw!

Thanks for the info. I will be careful not to hit areas that dont need to be cut. I am using Putnam's car as a helpful guide so i know which parts i will have to use a cookie wheel. I will prolly have to use the cookie wheel on all the frame notching but the parts that are think sheet metal with nothing behind it i will be able to ZAP away with the plasma.

Also I think you mean a 28"x10.5", W sizing doesnt start until 31" diameter IIRC.

On their website its showing they offer a 28x10.5w and a 29.5x10.5w... I got my info from their website: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETDrag

Hey bluevenom, what coilovers did you go with.. Looks like QA1 single adjustable, but what length and rate springs did you run. Also on your MT 325's any reason you went with a 12" wheel instead of a 10" like they recommend?

Where did you get all your suspension components (UCA, LCA, Anti-Roll Bar, and Upper/Lower shock crossmember)?

Also did you happen to be in the Orlando area today (Jan 4) I thought i saw you cruisin' around town.

Still no progress pics?

Nice start to the project... but I hope this isn't another one of those, "We got in over our head and gave up" threads.

If a Mustang got cut up like that and the job never gets done, it would be a shame.

LOL dont worry. We stopped work on his car and i went full blast into mine... I got a bunch of pics i need to post of my car. I got the driver side completely done and the passenger is cut and ready to be welded up. I should be able to finish it by this weekend.

I'm buying my shock crossmember and shocks from wolfe tonight so that will be coming in shortly. More pics in a few hours while i resize them all.

Here are some pics of the driver side done and the frame notching and capping.

Thats it for now. I did place my order from Wolfe Race Craft. Strange Single 10-way adjustable shocks with QA1 150# springs. And my Shock crossmember with upper mounting tabs and comes with the lower attachment brackets to weld to the rear end tubes.

Where's the wheel? J/K.

I'm not a pro-drag racer, so what are those hoses on the back of the 'stang for?
