So I went on a last minute business trip to Miami FL this weekend. I left Oregon, which was sunny and 70-80 degrees, to Miami, which was this:

What a vacation! The funniest part is, it looked like this about 15 minutes earlier:

these pics were seriously 15 minutes apart.

But, it was fun. I had heard that stangs were popular down there, and boy are they ever! I saw a lot of fox bodies too, most of them pimped out to the max. There is a huge mustang following down there, and I saw a whole bunch of them gathered near hallandale beach (near hollywood FL) but we didnt have time to stop. There was a few in downtown miami as well that were just amazing.

the top pic looks like fall, winter, and spring.

Yeah it was crazy. Up in the parking garage, I took that first pic, and then down on the ground I took the second one. Great weather they got!!

Saturday night, I saw the worst lightning storm I've ever seen in my life. Probably a lightning strike every few seconds for about 10-15 minutes. I love thunder and lightning! But, as we were on the balcony of the hotel, thunder had cracked directly above us, and I almost had to change my shorts. It was so loud our ears were ringing from it. Pretty crazy stuff.

did you cruise around Miami singing the will smith song?

No, but we were at the voodoo lounge in downtown miami saturday night (the most packed club I've ever seen) and they played that song no less than 4-5 times in a couple hours. I'm guessing they never get tired of it.

Miami weather is like that, thundershower in the late afternoon and heavy rain at time, you would think it is sunny all day everday. And it is so damm..hot

Oh yeah. The humidity is a nightmare. I didnt see any cars driving that didnt have their windows up.

In oregon, I like the fact that 2-60 AC works, even on the hot days. Even if its 100 degrees here, you can roll down your windows and drive, and the car is good to go. In miami, it doesnt matter, its just so dang humid.

And that smell... yuk. That salty musk smell that everyone there is used to, is just nasty. Smells like a salty swamp (basically what florida is) The first thing I did at PDX was take a huge whiff of our clean air.

Oh well, it was fun.
