Hell
Im guessing it was a 5.0, it didnt have 4.6 fender badges. We were together at a light, when it turned green we both got on it.

He spun his tires and I got about a 1/2 car length on him at the start. He was closing on me slowly, at about 50mph he got even and started pulling ahead slightly. At 80 when I backed off he was about 3/4 of a car length ahead.

Im sure if he was better off the line I would not have had a chance, but its nice to be able to stay in the neighborhood with the big boys with my lowly V6.

This was the first time I drove hard, cant wait to install my 3.73s and T-Lok.

You see? No one believes me. The first time I ran my '88 5.0 down a track I ran a "low" 17sec. quarter mile. I had no idea how to drive the car! That's what's so funny when guys start off with the "Motor Trend ran a 13.9 with my car bull****". The driver may not be able to lower a cars ET but he sure can F it up. I've got a friend with a 2003 ZO6 Corvette that I've eaten with my '05 GT a dozen times. That extra 100HP does him more harm than good. Skip the 3.73s, go with 4.10s, learn how to launch the car and then go hunt down some GT's. :rlaugh: Then, at the next light, tell 'em yours is a stock 6 and watch 'em head for the dealership to have the car looked at! LOL
