I am in the process of putting together a N/A 347. I have comp cam xtreme energy XE274 hyd. roller cam, speed demon 750 carb and a victor jr. intake. i still need heads.

1. Which heads do I buy? I am looking at AFR 205's and i heard RHS heads are good

2. how much Horsepower will i be pushing?

3. looking to go low 12's, could it go 11's ?

i have long tube headers, no cats, flowmaster exhaust, drag launch kit, all MSD components, tko 500 trans

any help will do. i appreciate all your guys help. thanks

dude, this is a 10 second combo.
I think 205's might be too much. Consider 185's or as the other poster said, Vic Jr's. RHS would also be a good choice.
We recently helped build a 347 with a similar cam, solid roller however, and AFR 165 Comp heads. running the same carb as you. Made 450 on an engine dyno with a single plane. Subsequently switched to a dual plane (RPM Air Gap) and in a 2800lb fox body it has pulled 1.4X 60ft and run 10.8-10.9 @ 126. All N/A.

Sounds similar to my plans:

347 10.5-11.0:1 compression
Solid Roller Lifters/Cam
AFR 205's
Victor Jr. Intake
750 Demon Carb
Hooker or Comp 1 3/4" LT Headers
Only accesorie being the alternator and maby a vacuum pump.
Lightened Foxbody

None of this is set in stone yet but I have done plenty of research and this seems to be the directions I am aimed.

What is your purpose for this car? The AFR 205's are some big heads and I they have proven themselves on a track, but if this is mostly a street combo, the 185's seem to be a better choice because they will give you better midrange power I am sure. The 205's are going to need some RPM and some gear in the back to really work. I plan on getting a 4.30-4.56 gear when I get my car running. I don't know this for certian, but I'll find out.
