Yes, I remember when my buddy got me to move down to South Florida, he says, "the Sun shines everyday down here". What he failed to tell me was that in the Summer it also rained every afternoon too! Then during the times it didn't rain every afternoon everybody was getting the streets wet when they were trying to water their lawns ! It was very difficult to keep my car clean with all that going on.

Of course North Florida seems to be worse for rain than it was down South. If it don't rain, there is dew 99% of the mornings, even if you have a garage to keep it dry, when you drive it to work in the morning it'll get wet in the parking lot. You still can't get away from the miss guided lawn sprinklers here either. I can't figure that out, how hard is it to water the grass, not the streets?

I was going to buy tickets for the Pepsi 400 because my 6 year old is Dale Jr. fan but it looks to be 60% chance of T storms that night. Oh well I guess I'll stick to my usual Homestead race.

I dont understand why they need to water at all. I mean come on, it's Florida!!! Just last week alone we had 6 inches of rain.

I guess you were up here for the 4 or 5 days it didn't rain this month .

Monthly rain fall averages for Key West vs Tallahassee vs Pensacola:
..................Jan....Feb...Mar...Apr...May..Jun....Jul...Aug...Sep...Oct...Nov...Dec
Key West:....2.22" 1.51" 1.86" 2.06" 3.48" 4.57" 3.27" 5.40" 5.45" 4.34" 2.64" 2.14"
Tallahassee: 5.36" 4.63" 6.47" 3.59" 4.95" 6.92" 8.04" 7.03" 5.01" 3.25" 3.86" 4.10"
Pensacola:...5.34" 4.68" 6.40" 3.89" 4.40" 6.39" 8.02" 6.85" 5.75" 4.13" 4.46" 3.97"

So lets see, total average rain fall per year:
Key West = 38.94"
Tallahassee = 63.21"
Pensacola = 64.28"

Note: above information taken from www.weather.com.

Yep, you got lucky being up here when you was.

Funny thing about this thread is that the radar changes everytime you click on it. NEXT month, someone on here will find this thread (probably someone good at "searching"--hmm--and click on the link and say " it dont look like two bad weather their RC"

It was bone dry while I was there but boring at the same time. I was in Escumbe(something like that) near th Navy base and I asked a few locals whats fun to do around here and they all replied DRINK that's it. So I went back to the hotel and did just that .

Only 38.98'' in the Keys I live real close to them and it seems lke it's rained a lot more than that.
