I recently added a Vortech SQ Trim to my 99 GT and am about to head to the 1/4 mile strip (darlington). I have no idea what to expect when I get there.

I've searched the forums here and not really finding any 96-04 GT's with supercharged track times. Post 'em up!

If you feel froggy, try to judge what I'll run when I get there. My trip to the 1/8 mile track last week pulled an 8.03 @ 90mph. I hit over 90 on nearly ever run in high heat and humidity. Timing system was broken so no 60ft times were printed. Doh! Best 60 ft's have been in the 1.8x's on near stock suspension.

I've generally seen mid to low 12s...although I've seen a lot of people have a hard time and go high 12s

Yea, I'll be down at Darlington for the Mustang gathering, but not the beach. I was there last year and loved the burnout contest!

low 12s for sure. now build your rear end and get some et streets and you'd be amazed at the time difference.

I say low to mid 12's with street tires. Now, throw in a set of ET Streets and you should be on high 11s!!!

Wow, that's nearly my identical setup. I'm shocked at that mph, and even the 11.7 times. Care to share what other specs were on the car at the time? weight reductions? Temperature?

Stylin,
Thanks! Those times were obtained last November. It was about 45 degrees (maybe a little colder) and the track was really biting. Everyone there was getting their best times ever on that day.

On average, my car is a 12.1-12.3 car. It is a stock long block with a 10# P1-SC, 42# injectors, Lightening 80 mm mass air, 70 mm FRPP throttle body. 3.73 gears, Flowmater 3 chamber cat-back with Bassani hi flow cat X pipe, Steeda lower control arms and Nitto drag radials.

I was surprised myself at those times. I think the MPH may be a little optimistic (but that is what is on the time slip so that's what I am going with ).

The key to the motor staying together is a safe tune. That is what I have through www.kauffmanmotorsports.com. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Sean

Well thanks for all your input guys!

I ran at darlington last night and here's the results. I was very pleased for a first 1/4 mile pass with the blower. Temp was in the 80's, ice in the aftercooler, pass seat out, but that was about it...

First run out here's the numbers:
60ft: 1.91
1/8: 7.96
ET: 91.38
1/4: 12.19
ET: 117.37

It stuck like glue leaving the line so I figured I'd leave a tad harder, with a longer burnout.

2nd run HOT LAPPED:
60ft: 1.84
1/8: 7.85
ET: 91.7
1/4: 12.08
ET: 117.09

Woohoo! 11 sec club, here I come.
