While driving my car will start to buck back and forth and then die.

Sometimes it will restart, and sometimes it wont. I am getting fuel pressure.

I checedk the codes and there are none.

I replaced the distributer thinking it was the stratar or whater that thing is called.

I can't figure this out. This is my daily driver so I need it fixed asap

Thanks

When is this doing this while you're driving? What gears and rpms?
Did you check for vacuum leaks and your plug wires to make sure they haven't melted on the header and is arcing on some metal.

dude, same things started happening to me, i still dont know the exact cause, but i replaced my tfi module(fender mounted on our cars) and my car hasnt died since. set me back about 80 bucks. o, by the way, i took it to a shop, and no codes, fuel pressure was cool, spark was cool, nd so was voltage and vaccum. the shop couldnt get it to die on them.

TFI's like to go south when they get hot. often when it cools off, it comes back to life.
a FP on the outs can also cause a similar symptom (when its diaphram gets hot, it is too weak to flow proper pressure).

so a little quick troubleshooting is good.

a parts store might be able to bench test your TFI. i would have them do it repeately since the problem is intermittant.

good luck with it.
