Need help asap! car bucks then dies

While driving my car will start to buck back and forth and then die.


Sometimes it will restart, and sometimes it wont. I am getting fuel pressure.

I checedk the codes and there are none.

I replaced the distributer thinking it was the stratar or whater that thing is called.

I can't figure this out. This is my daily driver so I need it fixed asap

Anyone, I just replaced my tfi hopefully that fixes it.

anyone else know what it could be?

when it dies while your driving it can you floor the gas pedal and it kicks back on. cause im having what sounds like the exact same problem as you are and iv allready spent alote of money at two shops trying to get it fixed. one shop thought it was ignition caused and changed my distributer, wires, spark plugs, and set my timing didnt fix it. now its at another shop and they thought it was fuel pressure and changed my pump, relay,filters and still nothing theyre looking into computer and induction possibilitys now, i dont get what the hell it could be

no if I floor it its does nothing. Its really wierd.


So far it has yet to do it again since i reaplace the tfi this afternoon, so hopefully its fixed.

whats the tfi? mine would do it then run fine for a couple days then mess up on me again and lately its been doing it more and more often. Keep me posted if it solved your problem so i can relay it to my mechanic
