need help finding-small heim joint for throttle....

One other quick observation, looks like you trimmed the TV cable pretty short ... I did a similar thing with a throttle cable and had to replace it. You lose adjustability that short and if you have to take the cable out for adjustment you'll never be able to thread it back through because of the fraying (which usually requires a little trimming to remove).

in the first pic on the other page, it was just loosly installed, this is after i installed it. i haven't even cut the cable yet, notice how long in this pic.......

I have been trying to modify the existing throttle rod to work with my Demon carb with little success. What length rod is correct for the kit from AFCO? TIA, Jeff

Hey street, did you have to modifiy the petal for the lokar cable set up or did it bolt right up?

Well, the Lokar 24" cable did bolt on, but, where the original retainer went, I had to remove the pedal assembly and put it in a vice to straighten it, and then put it back in. I can take a pic if you want me to, let me know. It is curved originally, after than it went right on. You will also need to cut some of the housing. The instruction that comes with the cable tells you exactly how to do this. I can even tell you exactly how much is needed to be removed; I’ll post that later if you want.

this was really easy, but here you go
i removerd the pedel with these 2 screws here........

then here where the clevis attaches used to be curved, i placed it into a vice and straightened it............

heres a better pic.........

this is how much of a 24" cable housing i trimmed off so it would fit, little more then 9".........
