Kettering. OH
OK, I saw an ad in the classifieds here for a gt40 upper and lower intake for 300 bux. I send the guy $300 and about 10 days later he finally says he gets the money. Two weeks after that I still havent gotten my intake so I call his house and talk to his mom. She says he'll send it out right away. Four days later in the mail I recieve from this little prick a stock lower intake!! I call his house at least 3 times a day (even at 3AM) and nobody ever answers, there is no answering machine and he will not respond to my emails. He lives 4 hours away and beating his ass and ending up in jail will not get my money back. If anyone can please give me some advise I would be greatly aprreciative. I know this should be in talk, but this is the forum im always in and you guys have always helped me out, plus I dont want any of you sending this retard money thinking you will get any parts. BTW, his name is Shawn Liberatore.

was the guy who ripped u off out of FLA.? I got ripped on a gt40 intake for 375$ out of FLA. Contacted the post office , filed for mail fraud and then sent me a letter after about a year saying they cant do anything and I can hire a private attorney if I'd like.

Not sure if it's good advice, but I guess it all depends on what options you’re left with? I say you should drive the 4-hours to give it back to him. $300.00 is a lot of money to spend on a stock intake manifold! I think seeing your face at the front door when he answers might make him cough up the cash. If he's not home, just leave it there....say...in the back seat of his car. Only don't make any attempt to open any doors when you put it in there, if you get my drift? (Just in case you're wondering, the glass on the rear hatch is the most expensive to replace.) ;)

I had it happend on ebay with a hard drive sent this dude 75 bux and he never sent anything, went through the post office and they didn't do ****, I traced the money order but to get a copy they want 25 bux so it isn't worth it. I'd goto to the house and confront him with the intake and say i want my money back or the right intake now, otherwise let the ass beating begin.

good call if all else fails he'll need to buy a new set of tires and replace all his glass, not to mention fix those key marks on the car.

No, not a key, use a hatchet or claw hammer, it makes a better statement. Shawn in Ohio sounds way too familiar, just the last name is different, but that guy was using a bunch of names too last year when he was selling intakes, heads, etc and sending out junk or nothing. Where is this joker located?

leave a message telling him you are contacting a lawyer to investigate fraud and theft as long as you got his # and address you got what you need. but it should always be half now half on delivery if they dont like it then i would walk.

Not sure about fraud on the stangnet classifieds, but on ebay, you can report fraud like that within a certain time frame. Remember, if you sent him the money, he may still have your address too, so visiting his house may not be the best idea as he could turn you in or pay a visit to your house (and stang) as well. That really does suck...i'm very leary of the Stangnet classifieds now because of these losers. Half now-half later is a good idea, but so is paypal (www.paypal.com)...I think paypal also persues fraud cases and you could prob. cancel the transaction if you got the wrong stuff.

If you use regular type money orders you're screwed. Allways use postal money order. the postal service will help you. It becomes federal mail fraud. That close of a drive should have gone to get it.or have him meet you half way.

He lives in Brownsville, PA. As a matter of fact:
Liberatore, Shaun
150 Driftwood Rd
Brownsville, PA 15417

That's him, the little piece of sh1t. If you guys want to be real great buds you can all call his house at about 2 or 3 in the morning for me....he never answers so you wont get charged for the call. Yeah I sent him a regular money order but I have the receipt for it and I have all emails where he agreed to send me a gt40 intake for 300 bux and I have the email where he said that he got the money. Tomorrow I'm calling his local police and the FBI. If the little pr1ck doesnt have to pay me or doesnt go to jail, he may just get his intake back.....I'll leave it in his car as was suggested. If I show up to his door and he doesnt have money, I'll kick his ass but then I'll go to jail which would suck. I think me and 3 friends would be enough for him to want to pay me what he dearly owes.
