I'm looking to purchase a 2002-2004 Black Saleen Coupe (non-supercharged) in the near future and I had a question about the car. I know they utilize the gt motor but are rated at 285 HP instead of 260 HP as with the gt. What is the difference? What other differences are there besides the obvious appearance modifications? How much could I expect to pay for this car? If you come across one please let me know, or if any of you guys are looking to sell I would be interested as well. Thanks :nice:

Pulleys
Air filter
Borla or Magnaflow catback (The early to mid '02s finished the Borla era, if memory works right).
A reflash of the PCM

What other differences are there besides the obvious appearance modifications?

A production based Hurst shirfter, performace-styled seats were standard in 2003 & 2004, and the "Racecraft suspension."

There are also Saleen options. Gearing, lockers/limited slip, braking, wheel/tire upgrade.

How much could I expect to pay for this car?

High teens, low 20s. I've been seeing '99s in the 14-15 range and '01s in the 16-17 area.

Also look at NADA Guides http://www.nadaguides.com/

Always contact Team Saleen before you buy. Pati will check the VIN and make sure it's the real deal.

Take care & good luck with the hunt!!! :nice:
