Hey,

Well I am new here and I had a few questions I was wondering if anyone could help me with. I am planning on purchasing a '96 mustang v6 from a guy I met in Grand Rapids. The problem is I want to drive this car in the snow since I live in Michigan. Well, I was wondering if you think this is a good idea or not? I know it is very dangerous, but with the right tires it should handle a lot better. Hopefully someone can help me out here and give me some suggestions .

I plan on sticking around these forums for a long time

Thanks for the help,
Mike

I think if you get some good snow tires you should be all set, just drive carefully and you will be Good, even without tires

man driving anything in the snow sucks... I'm sure you know that you'll probably be getting lots of dings and scratches on the mustang if you drive in the snow.

I know that, but I was just wondering if its really bad driving stangs in the winter since they are rear wheel drive, some people tell me its fine if you get the right winter tires and some say that its not a winter car even with the tires it needs to be fwd . Anyways, any more help I would appreciate.

Thanks

there are a couple of things u can do to help handling. if you want to spend the money you can relocate ur battery to the trunk to put weight on the drive wheel. or you can just pile up the trunk with bags of sand or anything that weighs a lot. of course u can also put a giant subwoofer in the trunk...
