Need Tires!

I really like the sizes I'm running.

265/35/18 front (come out to the lip evenly and only rub slightly on downhill full lock turns.

275/35/18 rear

TireRack said to go with 245/40/18, whats the difference between 245 255 and 265. Also what brand and type of tires are you running?
Thanks Again
tirerack goes by what their computer tells them. 245/40/18 will give you ZERO rim protection and will not look good.

In the tire metric system, 245 would be the width of the top of the tire in mm... So the tread pattern would be 245mm wide.. The second number, 40 is a percentage of the first number.. therefore 255/35/18 is a shorter tire than a 265/35/18, because the sidewall height is taller on the 265.

If you really want to be able to rotate tires, run 275/35/18 all around. Like i said, I ran 265/35/18 in front because I wanted less rubbing on full lock turns.. 95% of the time I do not rub on full lock turns.. therefore I would recommend 265/35 in front.. In the rear 275/35/18 is as thin as I would go.

trust me on this and don't listen to tire rack.. they know that what they recommend will fit, we are telling you what will fit and look/perform better.

To save some money Yokohama AVS ES 100's are great tires. I wish i had a little more money when I bought tires for my 18's, but i ended up with the Kumho 712's.. The kumho's are good for dry traction but suck in the rain and suck when it comes to launches.

Also look at Kumho MX (the better kumho tire)

How do you like the Falkens? How long have you had them?
I have the Azenis ST-115's. I've had'em for about 1 month and so far I have no complaints about'em. They have great dry & wet traction :nice:. Not saying they're the best but they're by far not the worse. I would definitely buy'em again. If I could get'em in 295/35/18's . I think I'll have to go with 2 Falken FK GRB 451's for the rear :) .
