Hey guys. My brother in law just bought an 07 V6 Pony Pkg w/ an auto. Right now he wants to add a CAI, tune, and exhaust. I've been searching and reading posts on this forum to come up with some options for him. I spend most of my time in the classis section so I was looking for advice from those of you who have done this already. I saw the pkg deal from a few tuners with a C&L and XCal 2. With a magnaflow muffler what kind of gains will he get. What should the car do in the 1/4 with these mods. As far as installing the X Calibrator 2, does it come tuned and you just plug it in when installing the CAI. How does the install work and the tuning. Do you bring the car somewhere to have it tuned or what? Thanks for your help.

the exahaust is a matter or prefrance so is the intake. since theres only a couple hp differance.

the sct plugs into the cars diagnostic port under the steering wheel. that powers the sct it turns on. so your at the main menu. then you select 1 of the 3 tunes and it loads it. very simple. installing the intake takes about 10 min tops also. very easy mods to install. i havent had my car dynoes. there are a few people that had exhaust intake a sct dynoed. they are getting around 190-200 to the wheels. as far as 1/4mile times i dont know.

I CAI, good tune and muffler should yeild him 14.5 to 14.8 second ets even on the peg leg. Following that, might want to look into gears, lsd and some lcas. On the XCAL2, I would get a tune from one of the following...

-Doug (bamachips)
-Lidio (Alternative auto)
-Justin (VMP)
-Brenspeed

Or if you live close to Powerhouse, they have a nice XCAL2 with their pipeline CAI unit. The most popular CAI units seem to be C&L, DeMolet and JLT.

Good luck and happy new year.
