new 331 combo

How's this sound for a new combo

331 9.5-1, Eagle crank, Eagle H-beam rods, Probe pistons, Vic Jr heads, Vic Jr.s intake, AMS B451 high rev cam, HO 750 AED, 1 3/4 Mac LTs, 3" X-pipe, Dumps, Compucar 175 shot, C4 w/ T/B, 3000 stall, 4.10's, 28x10.5 slicks

I still need to see how much the car weighs. But I'm hoping for low 10's

sounds good, but i'd rather the 331, the 347 has a pretty close stroke. I just hope this doesn't turn into a 331 to 347 debate.
I would go for 10.5:1 pistons.
I would also recommend rethinking the cam.

Type-O man. I sent you PM last week, you never responded. What fuel pressure you running?

Joe, I never got a PM from you. I run 39psi vacuum off. I haven't touched my FP in a long time. All my fuel is through the PMS.

I'm trading some stuff around the house for it, so it's not costing me a thing except gas to go get it! The 72 block is already machined (I have the linked lifters). I can shave the heads to 58 cc get the compression up to 10.16-1 instead of the 9.8-1.

I might do a custom cam, but the cam is for N20 or a s/c.

N2O or S/C 10-20lb 331-347 c.i.d. Best performer for 6600-6800 rpm. Great with TFS TW or R's, Edelbrock RPM or Victor heads. Minimum 50lb injectors and 80mm to 92mm mass air. Recommended 3.73 to 4.10 gears, good drivability down to 2200 rpm, mild idle, rpm range 2800-6800, needs 3000-3200 converter. Must use AFM valve springs.

10's or what?

Yeah I think you will be in the 10's with that, providing:
1 - You manage to tune that monster. Not gonna be easy with 50lb injectors.
2 - You don't crack the block. You're lookin at 300+rwhp easily NA and around 500 with the hit. Thats asking for trouble with a stock block.

Hi
If your thinking S/C lower compression is better... I have 10.1 compression and getting a S/C installed after Christmas... using Cosmetic extra thick gaskets .71 to get my compression down.... If you might want a S/C go with lower compression... maybe O-ring the heads and gaskets.

I have 300 rwhp from my 306, stock crank and rods w/ Ross pistons. Tuning isn't a problem I run A/F meters to get it close then take it to the dyno down the street.

I run a 750 D/P, so injector's are out, that's quoted from AMS.

The blower is out of the ? I have a dual stage nitrous system that can goes too 450 hp (w/ both shoots 225 each). So I can play w/ the HP levels. Spent allot of $$ to run a 2 1/2 fuel system just for the N2O and Carb.

I know the block is a time bomb! But with a safe tune it will last for a season.

Remember I'm trading for a short block. If it blows then cool! I can buy a Dart block and a 347.
