New ET Streets, can't hook.

Explain what else you mean by traction control devices?

If you mean just things to help hook up, I have Strange 10way struts(set on softest setting), Battery relocated over right rear tire, full length SFC's, welded torque boxes, tubular k-member, adjustable pinion snubber

They worked wonders last year.
But were old and about to be unuseable.
I could try the 10-12 psi range, and try not backing into the water box.
And how would a less sticky tire help me not spin?

Why do you say less sticky?
My buddy, owns a shop that specializes in running drag radials, hence 7.9 on bfgs.
Guys run in the 8's and 7's on mt and bfg drag radials. No problems for them.

If you heat bfg's up, the will crinkle, and hook.
And before you say his car is a race car, it was originally stock style suspension with 17's and went high 9's, with a 1.4 60ft.

He also thinks ET streets are a joke, and incredibly inconsistant.

i would have to say your not doing a good burnout.

definitely use the water box...but make sure your out of the water when you start. 2nd gear @4k then hold it....do a good 5 seconds AFTER the smoke starts to roll, and DON'T do a dry hop.

i used to spray out of the hole and usually launched around 3500, could cut 1.7's all day long

if there is still tits...you are definitely not doing a good burnout...no matter what it sounds like.
