New heads for 93 5.0

I'm wanting to put a set of heads on my 93 5.0 (GT-40) what all am I looking at as far as having to change out to make everything work, what do you suggest, how much HP am I looking at gaining and how long do they normally take to install?

Just a set of heads? Hopefully they are the "assembled head" or you got some work ahead of you.
Which GT-40's are you slapping on there? X or P, the x's will defiinitely give you some power. Just do a quick double check on timing before you crank her up.

A gasket, and while you are there you might want to get a new header gasket.

High quality original equipment style 356-T6 aluminum castings, machining and components. Each aluminum head weighs approximately 22 lbs. - approximately 25 lbs. lighter than each cast iron GT-40 head.


These GT-40 style heads use AGSF-32C spark plugs. Each GT-40X head is leak tested prior to assembly. Head assembly consists of barehead M-6049-X302/X304 and GT-40 valve train kit M-60-90-X302 featuring stainless steel valves. The valve springs are compatible with all Ford Racing roller camshafts except M-6250-Z303. The fast, easy way to bolt-on 65 horsepower!


Installation Notes:


Will not fit 1986 5.0L with fltat-top pistons unless pistons are notched for valve relief. Must use head bolt kit M-6065-D289 to install cylinder heads on 289/302 blocks or head bolt and head gasket kit M-6051-A50. Check roller arm clearance to valve springs with production rocker arms.

I'm wanting to go with the "X" would it be a good idea to go with bigger injecters, MAS and TB? Do you know where I can get some preassembled for a good price?

yes you should run #24 injectors, but your 19's will do for now, I would run at least a 65mm TB and at least a 73mm MAF. You can run with the setup you have but you won't get the flow you want, and without a afpr and bigger f pump, you risk running lean. I am about to upgrade my MAF and injectors, and plan on selling my 76MM C&L and 24lb injectors.
