I'm planning on replacing my rear tires, but I'm unsure of what tires to get. I have the Goodyear Eagle GT II tires (225/60r15) all around, but the rear tires are wearing down and I have terrible wet weather traction. So terrible it's dangerous because unless I accelerate very gentley, the tires break loose, and the car can slide around, or fishtail very easily when I'm turning. I'm thinking of 245/50 rear tires instead, and leaving the 225/60 front Eagle GT II tires alone for now. Any suggestions on what rear tires I should get? I really need tires that are good in wet weather, I don't really care if they match the front tires or not right now, I can always get matching tires for the front later. I also intend to spend around $100-150 per tire. Any suggestions would be very helpful, before I end up somewhere on the road I don't belong, Thanks

First off, how wide of rims are you running? 245's might look a bit goofy, on a 7" wide rim. Check out tirerack.com and search by tire size and performance application. You'll have a nice list of tires to look at, and can browse feedback on them and see how they rate as far as wet and dry traction. Good luck.
