New SS door sill Plates

Has anyone got one these new SS door sill plates (scuff plates)? I was wondering if they were an OEM exact match except for the material? Here is the link: http://www.virginiaclassicmustang.com/catalog/shop/item.asp?itemid=IN6951&catid=130

I would like to replace mine and these caught my attention.

Yes my thoughts exactly. They would stay bright and shiney longer, but my original question is......do they look like exact replacements?

There's some cheap-arse repops out there alright. I grabbed some OEM ones which are much better quality but have been hard-to-find (or expensive) for some time now. Of course at $70ea those aint exactly inexpensive now are they?

Huey, I don't think they'd "look like exact replacements" at all, those are polished.

I would not think the SS parts could be run on the same tooling that the aluminum ones are run on but the picture shows them to look the same?

Agreed, but the page calls them "exact fit"....dunno man...hope you can find someone who has them.

Exact fit means they fit, period. The contours probably will not be exact. The only alternative is the O.E.M. tooling sill plates that the same company offers. $15, $38, or $70 I will go with the s.s. myself but keep the old set to make damned sure the door adjustment isn't going to scratch them first.
