JT - I think I understang what you are saying. the only part I'm not sure of doing is connecting (or making contact) to the rings on the back side of the wheel adapter. I understand how the stock clockspring works but I believe with the aftermarket wheel and adapter, you are to remove the clock spring. Correct me if you think I am wrong here. Maybe I am just missing something here.

Why don't you just fly up and help me out for an hour, as I am sure once parts are in hand the proper solution, if any, will be evident. lol

Well back to the headlight knob topic: I just purchased this from ebay, pretty cheap too. It is clean looking and not bulky. I don't want odds & ends billet pieces all over my interior, so my plan is to paint it gunmetal metallic to match the gauge surround color in my interior. You can check my pic to see what I mean, should give it a clean subtle look.

I was sold a car with deployed airbags before (by a small auto dealer). They were kind of packed in so you couldn't really tell. I don't know if it was allowed because it was a reconstructed title. However, the insurance company insured it and didn't seem to have a problem with it. Fast forward to now, when I wrecked my mustang they made a big deal about me not driving around with deployed airbags? I don't get it. My other car was newer and nobody seemed to care, when they knew about it? Oh well, didn't make sense to me either.

For those guys that want another wheel but want to keep their cruise control, Grant does have a cruise control kit for both 3 spoke and 4 spoke wheels but it's more expensive than the wheel itself sometimes... $170. But it can be done and it's a simple plug in just like factory. I have a leather/vinyl wheel on mine and can't imagine keeping an ugly stock wheel for any reason other than the cost.

I considered this when I was preparing to do mine. You can actually find the kit for about 100 bucks plus shipping. I'm simply making my own and choosing not to put the buttons on the spoke of the wheel.

A buddy of mine made the SVT cap from some scrap materials we had lying around.

That is nice...

How'd you make the plate? It looks like aluminum with a cirular brushed finish centered around the steering axis?
