So i just scored a set of 15x8/15x3.5 Weld Draglites off of a friend for $200 and i already had tires picked out for the 15x9 knock-off welds ive got now,but ill probably sell them and keep the welds.

Whats the BEST fit tire for a 15x8 wheel? i was going to run 275/60/15 E.T Streets on the wheels i have now, how wide can i go without looking ridiculous and still having a good contact patch?

and whats a good fit for the 15x3.5?

I have a 275/50/15 on the back of mine and a 195/65/15 on the front (its a VW beetle tire size) I'm not sure what size wheel the rear is but its a pretty meaty tire.

im mostly curious about tire size for the 15x3.5 as ive never really had to mess with "skinnies" before. I figured 275/60s would fit the 15x8s alright but im just wondering if there is a size that will give a bigger contact patch

i had 275/60/15's on the back of my first gt and it looked goofy for a street tire. way too much sidewall. unless you're getting slicks, get a 275/50 or 275/55

E.T streets or 555rs is what ive been considering
