To keep with matching tires, the only size 315 Michelin offers in an 18" diameter is 315/30r18. That ended up looking very short compared to the 285/35r18 on the front wheels. For that reason I kept the 255/35R18 up front with the 315/30r30 in the rear. Hind sight being 20/20, I'd opted for a different brand and gone 265/35r18 front and 315/35r18 rear. I like the rear being just a touch taller. The regular BC Racing coilover springs are very soft, hence the ride height. I just purchased firmer front spring, a pair of MM forward offset A arms, and a Steeda front sway bar. In the rear, I am going to try to find an air bag helper spring kit, as BC does not offer a stiffer spring for the IRS rears.

After the intake swap, my tuner noticed my 20+ year old wideband controller was reading off. I decided to buy new, although I really liked the vent set up. I never ended up liking the gauges under the radio, so I moved them back to the gauge surround. I may just end up with a triple pillar mount, as it's pretty cluttered in it's current configuration.

Lastly, my wife hit a deer a while back and had a rental Toyota Corolla that had a flat bottom steering wheel... After seeing how much it helped getting in and out, I was sold and bought a subtle AZA flat bottom wheel. This is how my interior currently looks.

I'll post more as I revamp the front suspension. I'm also pulling my TKX, as my second gear and syncro need replaced after a fluke clutch cable incident.

Did you pick up the rear? It looks higher......

No, the tires are just narrower and shorter than I had hoped. The stiffer front springs I have for the coilovers will allow me to drop the front down without rubbing as much. I'm still trying to find a solution for the rear. BC Racing only has one spring option for their rears, and it's very soft. Need to try to find air bags or something.

No doubt. I'm also hitting a point in life where I'm tired of working on things, and spending money for goals that ultimately don't matter.

That so hit home, brother. I used to frequent NHRA races back when he'd trip the quarter mile lights from his burnouts.

Been short on time lately as I've been refurbishing a truck for my son. My tuner also rebuilds engines and transmissions, so i hired him to go through my car. I know I hurt my second gear when my clutch cable broke, and my engine is smoking more than it should be. I combined a couple short videos he sent me to share with you guys, lol.

For sure, but at least it'll be fixed up better than new. The heads are getting milled to raise the compression, and he is also doing my E85 conversion. Should net a few more ponies.

Alright, the car is back together with a fresh engine, fresh TKX and new Ram twin disc clutch. The friend of mine doing all this sent me a quick video, which I'll share. I went over and drove the car, and man is he right about the twin disc clutch being nice. It's softer than the stock clutch pedal feel.

He still has the car and is currently integrating a flex fuel sensor, and my A/C into the MS2 so I can run E85 and get my A/C functioning again. New dyno video will be coming soon!

Def a bum deal, but they are local guys that have put out good engines for years. Fluke thing for me, unfortunately. The actual person who built my engine was a co-owner of the shop, and was 70 something years old. He passed away in March, so im not about to drag his name through the mud. Lucky for me I have a good friend willing to help for more than a reasonable price.

Its hard to stop doing stuff you love but I always feel going out on top is the only way, unfortunately not everyone thinks like this.
Good thing you got a good tuner to help set it all straight.

The Cobra is back in my possession. I drove it to a car wash, back home, and promptly started taking it apart again, lol. It drove great. The clutch is so nice, and the tune on E85 seems much smoother. The nice weather motivates me to work it though. Now Im swapping in MM forward offset front control arms, stiffer springs in the front coilovers, a Steeda front sway bar, and a Stifflers transmission crossmember.

Tonight I only got the passenger all torn down, the spring swapped, and the new control arm loosely bolted in. I have all weekend free, so I should be able to get it all knocked out.

You know what they say about best laid plans... I didn't get very far this weekend. One of my heat shields is cracked and broken. Old me would have thrown them out, but current me says I've spent way too much money on this car to half ass things now. That triggered me going down the ATS/XTS brake upgrade rabbit hole over the weekend. In the end, I've decided to stick with the Cobra brakes, with new pads/rotors/dust shields but install braided hoses while im in there. I also need new tie rods ends, again because im in there.

So all I have done is the new sway bar installed, coilovers rebuilt and installed, and lower arms loosely bolted in.
