What material are you going to use for the heat barrier? I was thinking of doing something like that. I'd like to put a heat shied in the trans tunnel and around the mufflers to keep the interior from heating up as I idle in traffic on a warm day.

I've never found anything that was peel and stick for the underside of a car that would hold up. I used dynomat from toe board to tail light panel on my 89 gt when I had the interior out, you can feel the difference on the floor and trans tunnell, just wish I'd used it on my roof too, used it on the 'dump truck' too, makes a difference.
Putting sound mat in my car was the best mod I've ever done, hands down. If I ever own another fox, that's going to be #1 for sure - it made that much of a difference.I plan to take my interior out toward the end of the summer to inspect for rust, clean the carpet, and dynamat the floor. Good to know about the ceiling, but I dont know that I will go as far as pulling out the headliner. Its in really good shape.

No. I remember buying 2 boxes... Might have been the 36 ft boxes? I did the entire floor, toe boards to trunk, barely had enough.Recall off-hand how much you used? The 36 sq foot pack?
