Nitto 555R question

This might sound like a stupid Question but I have a race coming up this weekend at my local dragway (ford vs gm) and My nitto 555r are right at bald on the inside middle but have good tread on the outside, will they still stick if I heat them up or should I go back to my spare stock gator backs which cant hook that well either? I would go see myself but its been raining and I cant do any practice launches?

Yeah I was thinking about going to 14 or 15 at the most PSI
