so today's sale was a no-go. poor guy came all the way down from up-state (about a 6 hour drive down, then another 6 back up) and wound up not taking the car.

guess the big turn-off about the car is the cam -- it really is too radical for the street, i think, and i can't blame someone for not liking it as i myself don't. you really have to be mindful of not letting it jerk/buck, and you have to stay above a certain rpm in order to do so. kinda pain to drive, especially w/ the dumps.

so, new plan:

- gonna put the tremec back in (swapped in a t5 to lower the price)
- going to swap cam's -- either a custom grind or a decent off-the-shelf cam that i won't lose *any* streetability with
- getting rid of the dumps -- going with over-axles and fake side exhaust tips
- sub frame connectors, *maybe* a k-member, upper/lower control arms, 03 Cobra a-arms

and if i decide to keep it and wait for the 2010 stang, i'd like to build a 331 and add some sort of forced-induction setup -- either put the turbo i've had for a while to use by piecing together a kit, or getting a vortech or procharger. not sure on the details yet, but the tremec and a new cam are going in for sure.

anyhow, i'm still formally apart of this forum for a while longer, so i figured i'd keep my 94-95 brethren informed.

Well, sorry to hear about your bad luck on the sale, but not sorry that youre still stuck in our forum. Dont really know ya, but Ive read a lot of your posts and you seem like a good guy. Maybe you will rekindle your love of the SN with your new cam!

thanks, Nick! i appreciate the positive attitude. i'm hoping the new cam will do exactly that, heh.

*Edit: new cam's in the garage, sitting along side the 3550, waiting to go in! TrickFlow Stage 1. hoping to gain plenty of streetability back with it.

i want an 05+

i'd love to keep this one forever as i've put too much work/time/money into it to get rid of it but if i want a new stang w/in the next year or so, it would have to go.

guess this was probably what i needed to push me into being even more patient, lol.

figure since now i have the funds to play more and a dd, the stang can stay down so i can do more of what i wanted to it -- turbo, perhaps?

I'm sorry it didn't work out, but I'm also glad that you and the car will be around for a while longer.

I know you already got a new cam, but if you ever want anything custom I'd definitely recommed it. I can lug my car all the way down to 1000rpms, nail the throttle and it just pulls with no hesitation, bucking, etc. Most people that ride in my car are amazed by this as so many cams come with a cost in drivability like you experienced. Best of luck with the TF stage 1, it should work out better for you.
