Hey y'all,

I installed H&R Super Sport lowering springs today. After driving for a while, I noticed a rhythmic "thump, thump, thump" coming from the driver's side rear tire area. I can't imagine what it would be. The wheel is torqued down, and everything seems to be tight. Any suggestions?

Did you line up the spring on the control arm the right way? Did you put the same tire on the same side (could be out of balance on that side or something).

Did you replace your muffler bearings when you changed springs?

I placed the springs with the "pig tail" facing the driver's side of the car like the manual said. Yes, I put the same tire on the same side. And as for the muffler bearings, there isn't such a thing. Anybody else got ideas?

The pig tail should have rested in the groove of the control arm, there is only 1 way for it to sit. It should have been obvious.

Possibly a strut bottoming out? How low is the car? Are you using struts from a 94-present mustang by any chance?
