Hey guys just wanted to say hey and that I am a transfer from the 4.6 crowd and it has been a long while since messing with a 5.0 and an AOD to boot.

Anyway my question is why does the engine shift up at 4500 rpm when you are on it and can I alleviate this?

Just want advice on the tranny but not the ole swap to t-5 suggestion I know I will get.

The car is a 91 GT vert with 98k on the clock and an AOD with 20k on it. Other than that it is stock minus air box and timing adjust

Look into a shift kit to help with holding the rpm's to a better level. I believe alot of guys here are using the Transgo kit. Do yourself a favour and get a tranny cooler. Cheap insurance to keep that aod alive.
If you're looking for some better performance, you might want to look into a converter. They can make a huge difference without breaking the bank.
