Off all the mustang years, what made you decide to go sn95?

SN95's are in my top 10, maybe even top 5 of best looking cars of all time... So, there was that.

Oh and I found a mint, bone stock one that a 65 year old lady drove around occasionally and garaged the rest of the year for a pretty nice price

Finding the car and having everything go through smoothly was like a sign that this car was for me.

I think what got me into my car was started by my oldest brother getting a fox body GT 5.0 , the only problem was it had engine problems(oil pump) , it was fast and had power, Then I saw a 96-98 mustang. It looked so smooth, nice curves, and loud .

But I didn't have a job or money for either one. So I went 3 years without a Volk. Golf gl then got a family friend (nomore). It was ok except for the fact that the tranny was going, the power steering rack was leaking everywhere, rust everywhere there was a rust hole 1 ft diameter right in front of the driver seat .

So I was in the process Of Looking for a new Car. and somehow my brother told my cousin I was looking for a car and since He Own 3 Stangs A 67 5.0 c4 somewhat restored, A very nice red 93 5.0 5-speed GT, And a beutiful White on White 94 5.0 5-speed GT Vert. I didn't know he had the 94 til after I got my car.

Well there was a green 95 GT vert up the road from the shop he works at. He told me to come look at It So after 2 days I decided to take a look at it was on my face when I saw it. It need some work (little things). but the drivetrain was sound . stock everything. And had to buy it So here Iam with a sic Car And a very good forum to discuss are mustangs.

i have owned three mustangs previous to the 95 i have. all were fox's. i chose the sn95 car because when i went to test drive it ( found on us.trader.com about 3 years ago ) i felt like i was in a totally different car, which i was.

I also owned a fox before I bought my sn95, and I completely agree with each aspect you posted.

chicks dig it is probably the most drastic of each though.
every chick I've ever met never liked foxes... but loved my car.
I've driven the new edges, and although they're very similar to our cars, I found the body to be very... bulky in comparison.
I hope to get another sn95.

For me, it was the price. I had a 2001 GT convertible, and if it hadn't been totalled, I'd still be driving it. But ...

Back then, I had alot of debt, and I could not justify $22K for another car, so I took $8K and bought a 1996 GT vert and put the rest towards the debt.

Then I realized how much of a dog it was.

Then I learned how expensive modding it was.

Then I decided to get a 94/95 GT vert.

The price is right, the options are limitless, and they are sexy cars.

I think I am happier now with this car than I would be if I still had the 2001.

you're right. very few chicks like fox's.

scernario: you are with your girlfriend/wife and a 92 black coupe car drives by. slightly lowered with a set of welds, polished 2.5" tails, small cowl hood, no wing and clear ( not euro ) headlights. car is perfect. now with a few exceptions, most of us sn95 guys would really like this car. not my girlfriend or any other girl i know for that matter ( usually ). they tend to like the 94 and up cars.

Didn't pick it, it picked me. I wanted 2 things a mustang and a v8. Went car shopping and the car had just been traded in and was filty but completly stock except the welded flows. Had what I wanted.

I started off looking for a fox. I looked for months then decided that the 94/95 looked better. I would have taken a 99+ but these were way cheaper.

I was looking for something that I could drive daily and still work on and drag race on weekends.

Loved the SN95 body style when it came out in fall '93.

So, with the 5.0 engine in the "awesome looking" SN95 Mustang the choice was easy.

My old Fox was a total POS after being in 2 accidents. I was sad to see it go, but I needed a new car. I found my 95 with 25,300 miles as a lease return in 99. It was immaculate. Picked it up on my 19th b-day as a present to myself. Been 8 years now, and I'm never selling it. It may need some work here and there, but it's mine, it's paid for, and it's got a healthy 5.0 under the hood, so I'll keep it forever.

Had a 99 cobra with all the basic bolt-ons. I loved it, but realized it wasn't practical to "dig in" the engine, and if I wanted to it would be alot more $$$. Plus I just missed the low-end torque of the 5.0. I've had two foxes before the 99 and loved the 5.0. So I compromised and got an SN-95 because I liked the "newer," curvy styling, yet still having the 5.0 that I feel I know inside out. I will admit though that my fiance thinking the foxes were "boxy" also had a little bearing on my decision making. I love it now though, because I think the SN-95's are so underated and therefor giving us a little more sleeper appeal.

I had a 89gt that was more than well worn with 226,000 miles on it when the odometer quit so I traded it in on a clean 96gt. I loved the look and body lines and better build quality but hated the weak 2v 4.6. I later on found a very clean 91 gt that had some well done mods but was somewhat mild. I loved the feel of the 5.0 but the boxy look and very drab (red) interior lacked. I traded that car in on a truck to pull my race car (alky inj. 466 91lx notch) with but missed having a fun street car way too much so as soon as I got the truck paid off I started to search for my newest toy. I wanted a 03 mach 1 but really couldn't afford it. So I bought the next best thing I could find. I have always wanted a sn95 cobra but expected to find only beat up high mileage cars but then I saw it a 61,000 mile stock rio red 95 cobra I knew it was what I wanted. 5.0 power and sn95's sexy lines the best of both worlds.

well i was 15 and me and dad were looking for cars. we test drove a 97 gt vert.(didnt feel right and my mom didnt want me to ha ve a vert. i drove a (i want to say 96 but cant remember) 3000gt which i thought was pretty cool. it had a great "sports" car feel because it was SO low. and then i saw my 94 opal frost gt. took it for a drive and it was ment to be. one of the things that told me that it was MY car is the next professional service date sticker (it was in the top driver side of my windshield) said that the next tune up needed to be around 12/13/2004 which was my 16th birthday

I wanted to do a 351w swap, and 94/95 allowed me to bypass obdii emissions testing.

I had 3 previous fox bodies and wanted the better sn95 interior layout, further reclining seats for vert, better sealing convertible top, room far larger tires and 5 lugs.

mine was handed down to me from my dad when he got his Supercrew so i didnt exactly go looking for it, if anything i was leaning towards a fox back then just because they're cheaper. But i love the 94-95's i think they are the best of both worlds. The body and interior of the newer cars but the old school 302 H.O.

Im on my 5th Mustang and my Third SN95. I guess Im just drawn to them I love the body style. Last stang I owned was a fox and when I decided to get rid if it I knew I wanted a Cobra, I wanted black interior and Red exterior, the only question was the yr....I ended up with a 94.
