Off all the mustang years, what made you decide to go sn95?

my car just kinda found me. I wanted an sn-95 because I didn't like the fox set-ups. I also wanted to have a nice car to turn into a drag car once I get a fun daily driver in the future.

better styling
better brakes (especially cobras :D)
unmistakable sound

come on......why not?

(FWIW, the designation SN95 applies to any 1994-2004 Mustang, not just 94-95.)

All but one of my Mustangs have been some flavor of SN95. I chose my '95 GT because at the time I had an itch to get a Mustang I could modify heavily and feel safe working on the car myself. I didn't want to get into doing heads & cam work on a modular.

I've always considered sn-95 to be 94-98...and new edge sn-95 to be 99-04

no big deal really

btw, if I came across a decent priced 96-98 cobra I would have jumped on it..I wasn't really caring about the engine at the time be it 5.0 or 4.6 (dohc).

I'm glad I picked the 5.0 up though

My story is a little backward....but here it goes.....

My first car ever was a 01 MG 5 Speed GT. It was somewhat modded and my Mom had bought it for me and I made payments to her since I didn't have strong enough credit as I just turned 18. I got a smoking deal on that car. It only had 14K on it had all options except for leather. I got it for 14K plus taxes [ had a fmaily friend that worked at the dealership]

My parents split up, and I was forced to sell it to help my mom out financially until she got back on her feet. The kid I sold it to soon totaled it afterward. I then bought a Fox but once you've had a SN-95 the creaks and rattles get to you.....

I just picked up a Sn-95 yesterday for $3,000. It has 3.73s, C&L intake with K&N filter, 70MM Throttle Body, MSD Ignition, Shorty Headers, BBK O/R X Pipe, Slight Dip Dish Cobras, Flows.......

It feels so good to be in a Sn-95 again, I wish I could appreciate the fox but now that I have this I think I might sell it.......[ sorry I took it too long ]

Too many reasons to list. But ... I think the BIGGEST reason was because my dad always said he liked them before I purchased my old yellow '95. That is more than you would think. He is a HUGE Chebby guy and hates Ford's in general ... and these are the only one's he has ever said he liked besides '65-'70's.

Stangs come best in consecutive doubles ... '69 &'70 ... '94 & '95 .. '03 & '04. :D

Other than that ... you got the 5.0, no emissions hassel, decent ride quality, good looks. And HORIZONTAL tails!

Was actually looking for another b swaped 92~95 civic hb since my swaped crx wont haul my daughter around. People wanted to much for swaped civics..decided to look for a impalla ss,el camino or fix my 79 camaro up...decided I needed something newer and more dependable and didnt smell like exhuast(looking out for my kid again) didnt like the look of fox bodies and dont like 4.6 2v engines...so I found my GTS for $3600..black on black...couldnt pass that up..sold the camaro and now am hooked on the sn95

Affordability/workability wise, if I ever owned anything but a fox body, it would be a 94-95. I only would buy a new one if it were the GT500 (Can't afford) because I just see myself hating to work on a GT (workability). If I ever bought aa 99-04 it'd be Terminator (can't afford), because you might as well go all out. the 96-98's are nice, and I almost bought one, but I'm not that experienced 4.6 wise (workability).
Of course I'd go vintage, but I have no money to buy a restored one, and no room to restore it myself lol.

After I wrecked my camaro I was going to go with another LT1, but something inside of me wanted to try something different. Never having a mustang I started looking at foxes but ran into the same problem of either finding only beat ones, or really expensive ones. The 99+ ones were a little out of my range and I didn't really want a 96-98 because of the 4.6. For some reason around this area a few years ago it was really hard to find a 94-95. Almost giving up, I finally found a yellow one about 100mi away. It's kind of funny too because the instant you see the car you want, you know it'll be yours. Thats how I felt when I saw it. Had everything I ever wanted in a car. 5spd, leather, all power, and a few odd & end mods already done. Couldn't beat the price either. 3 years later here I am, I don't see myself ever getting rid of it. Unless it gets so totaled it can't be saved, at which point i'll take the parts off it, and get another one, lol.

I got my 94 GT, because of the only car I had ever owned at the time.......an '83 Mustang V6 GLX. I simply wanted a better Mustang than my first one.

I finished college and needed a reliable car. Once I saw my dark green 94 GT, I was hooked big time. The color actually looked blue at dawn and dusk. I bought it in 1996 and whoever owned it before took unbelievable care of it. No scratches, dents, or any marks anywhere.

The SN95 fits me better than older Mustangs (I'm 6'5" and 250 lbs.).

I knew nothing about performance or modding when I bought this car. Thanks exclusively to Stangnet, I have now spent tons of money modding my car in ways I never before thought possible. Every year I do something to my car to make it a little better than the year before and so far it is still a lot of fun. This fall an h/c/i kit will go on to give me more thrills for a good while. Then a 347 shortblock will replace what's left.

Thankfully I could afford my car in 1996, cause it's been paid off for 6 years now and still running like a champ. :)

Here's how I got mine. I had two previous Mustangs, one an 03 the other an 04, and was in the market for another car. I considered some other things but eventually decided I had to have another Mustang. I wanted something that I could eventually build a big cube 351W based motor for. At first I thought, "Oh well I'll get a fox." Looked at a few, drove a few. Fun to drive but I really just wasn't a fan of the interior and all the rattles and squeeks. Maybe it was just the ones I drove. Either way though, that narrows it down to 94-95s. So I decided to look for a Cobra because I wanted the front bumper and brakes and well it's a Cobra. I really wanted a Black one first and a White one if I couldn't find that. Red was my last choice. But it HAD to have black interior. I can't stand the saddle. Was looking on Craigslist one day though and saw a Red/Black 94 in my town for $6,500, 98k miles, stock except for a shifter, the TB, the MAF, and some Flows welded in. Went and checked it out, drove it, fell in love, told them if they'd take $5,500 cash right now, I'd buy it. They agreed and that's that. I ended the T5's life a few weeks later racing another 94 Cobra. I was winning until it gave up the ghost in 3rd! Haha.

1st Mustang: 1995 GT vert auto Laser Red
2nd Mustang: 2001 GT auto Silver
3rd Mustang: 2003 GT stick DK shadow grey
4th Mustang: 1989 GT Auto Oxford White
5th and current: 1994 stick Black

My reason is when I was in High school 1994 I was a freshman and saw the new stang in Motor Trend and at the auto show and loved it. I always wanted a 1994 Yellow GT or a black Cobra. But the yellow GT was what realy caught my eye. Oh well, black's not bad either. I will say that my 94 and 95 had the nicest ride. Plus this 94 only has 67k on it.

I'd already owned a 95 V6 before my GT. I was actually in the market for a 240sx when I passed by a, cough, Hyundai Dealership in BC that had a bone stock 95, save for some tint, on the lot. I didn't even make it to work that day...called them and told them I'd be in the next day in my new car!

I look back on that day as one of the best in my life! :nice:

Had an awesome '89 GT, and wanted another one. Couldnt find a nice fox, liked the more modern interior and brakes of the SN-95. Searched and found mine a little over 300 miles away off autotrader. It made a good getaway weekend, with a freakin awesome 300 mile cruise back! Ill never sell mine, I love it, and my fox was totalled two weeks after I sold it. :(
