48 team is the best team in the business right now

It was nice seeing Hamlin finally getting dinged on his overly aggressive restarts :D

I loved Biffles comments on the radio, "It's not the driver it's the car..." :nice:

boring? that was probably the most exciting race in Cali... well, that I can remember. Not just because my driver won, but there was a lot of passing, lots of 3 and 4 wide racing... not just a boring parade of cars like it used to be.

I hope they can do that exciting of racing at Michigan in the future. The announcers need to stop that sister track crap too. Fontana would be the daughter since Michigan was built in the late 60's. I think Michigan would wake up with a nightime race with lights. It make it a bigger pain to get to and leave from, because it is in the middle of nowhere, after all, the nearest major highway is 40 miles away.

It was only exciting at the end because NASCAR created a caution. Kind of like the Chase. Stewart would have a 200 point lead if NASCAR didn't throw a debris caution after 26 races. The NNS Mustang turned out better than I thought it would. I wish it fit a stock Mustang template though.

you can't really use the "old points system" as a way to measure anything. Do you really think the drivers that were locked into the chase with 3 or 4 races to would have drove the same under the old system? I don't think so. The 48 team "tests" lots of different setups leading up to the chase. I'm sure Stewart did the same.

You can't compare what might have been with what is happening

That race reminded me of races back in the 90's. Rather than artificially keeping the whole field on the lead lap for a shootout at the end, the fastest cars actually ran off and left the slower cars. That's how it should be. The ending was tense too because of the strategy involved. The 17 nearly pulled it off, hopefully next year is a massive rebound for Kenseth and all of Roush.

Roush needs to do something. Edwards not even winning a race and barely even being competitive is a problem. At least Biff was running up front a lot, and McMurray got a win! Come on Carl, what's the problem!??!?

btw, did you like how Jimmie decided to make the fans happy and give the other drivers a glimpse of hope? :D
